The Origins of Boscofuso

Vol. 1

Welcome to Boscofuso, a place no map has ever found, where trees seem to talk, paths change shape and impossible creatures born from the meeting of two different animals live together: the Stranimali. This is where Serpiglio’s adventure begins. Half snake and half rabbit, he is curious, clever and always ready to look at things from a different point of view. Together with Scimmiocero, Nella the Leonella and many new friends, Serpiglio discovers Ramofondo, the village of the Stranimali, and faces small mysteries, unexpected problems and situations that put everyone’s courage and imagination to the test. A celebration that does not go as planned, a river that suddenly changes course, Nella’s mysterious missing roar and a strange disappearance in the forest are only some of the adventures waiting for the reader. Filled with funny moments, original characters and a world rich in details to discover, each story shows how being different can become a strength, unusual ideas can prove valuable and sometimes listening to one another is the best way to find a solution. The first journey into the world of Boscofuso begins here.

Zebraffa comes to Ramofondo

Vol. 2

Someone new is about to arrive in Ramofondo. Her name is Raffa, a Zebraffa — half zebra and half giraffe — and from their very first meeting Serpiglio and the other Stranimali realise that she sees the world in her own special way. Raffa does not like rushing without knowing where she is going. She prefers to observe before acting and, when everyone else has already decided what to do, she often needs a little more time to understand. At first, finding the right rhythm is not easy, especially for Scimmiocero, who lives everything at full speed. But the inhabitants of Ramofondo soon discover that stopping, waiting and looking more carefully can completely change what once seemed obvious. Through new games, small challenges, moments of friendship and a special day spent gathering salciarance, Raffa slowly finds her place in the group, while Serpiglio and his friends learn that being together does not mean everyone has to do the same thing at the same time. A new Boscofuso adventure where even a slower step can take you a long way, and every different way of being can become something valuable for everyone.

The Secret of the Emerald Cave

Vol. 3

Something is wrong in Boscofuso. The light of the Emerald Cave, the place where everything began, has started to flicker, and the Stranimali can feel that something inside them is changing. Serpiglio and Scimmiocero are the first to notice it, but soon the impossible happens: the two natures that make up each Stranimale begin to separate. Serpiglio is no longer one creature, but a rabbit and a snake who think, react and move in completely different ways. And the same thing is happening throughout Ramofondo. To discover what is really going on, Serpiglio must travel towards the Emerald Cave with Gufatto, crossing an increasingly unstable Boscofuso and learning to cooperate with the very part of himself that seems so different. Difficult paths, unexpected encounters and a mysterious light that is slowly fading turn the journey into one of Serpiglio’s most important adventures. Deep inside the cave lies a secret that cannot be solved with strength alone. A new journey into the heart of Boscofuso, where Serpiglio discovers that being made of different parts does not mean being divided — and that sometimes, to feel whole again, we first have to learn to listen to every part of ourselves.
